Had not read Yelp yet when I went here. Didn't know what to expect. Wow, this place is great. Check out the pics and you'll see how big the cuts of veggies are. Fresh and healthy. The sauces were great and plentiful in the entrees. I really loved the Veggie Egg Foo Young, Teriyaki chicken and Chop Suey.Doesn't look like much but just get delivery or take-out. You're gonna love it.

Delivery came in 45 minutes (not the 30 as stated). Food was mediocre at best. Mongolian beef is inferior next to others I have tasted, pork fried rice was bland and the cashew chicken left me unsatisfied. The hot and sour soup tasted extremely salty... I'm sorry Rose Garden. I will not return.

Who knew there were still places that delivered Chinese food at your doorstep?! Rose Garden does for sure! I placed an order of over $50 and they offered to deliver to our door for free. But the delivery time was 45 minutes. It would have been great if I ordered the food over an hour ago, but that just didn't work. We picked up the food ourselves and it took just 15 minutes for our order to be ready. What we ordered:- House Fried Rice- House Chow Mein- Mongolian Three Combo- Honey Walnut Prawns- Beef with Broccoli- Sesame ChickenFor a family dinner for 13 people, this was PERFECT! Just enough for everyone to grab seconds. And we about just a little over $50 for our meal.REVIEW:- House Fried Rice: Your standard fried rice. I can tell you what it wasn't. DRY, GREASY, MORE MEAT THAN RICE...none. This was none of that. Which is a winner in my opinion.- House Chow Mein: Also, your standard chow mein. Delicious flavor and slightly greasy, but I guess it wouldn't be chow mein if it wasn't a little greasy. Would order again.- Mongolian Three Combo: WINNER! Definitely delcious. They beef, chicken and shrimp was cooked perfectly. Very tender and a well rounded dish. WOULD RECOMMEND.- Honey Walnut Prawns: This is a different variation of this dish than what I'm used to. I'm used to having the prawns drenched in mayo. This looked different but had the same sweet honey taste that this dish is supposed to have. It was a delightful surprise. Don't let the pictures fool you, this is a great dish. WOULD RECOMMEND.- Beef with Broccoli: This dish lacked the beef, but considering we had so many meat dishes this was a great vegetable dish. It was more like Broccoli cooked in beef broth. It was divine. The broccoli was tender with a slight crunch in the center.- Sesame Chicken: This was a fan favorite. I'm happy that the portion of this dish was large. Breaded chicken covered in a sweet glaze and sesame seeds. WOULD RECOMMEND.Overall, this is definitely a winning find for us. Yelpers do not disappoint. The majority of Yelpers voted this place to be 4 stars and in my opinion they were spot on. Would bookmark this place as our go-to Chinese restaurant in San Leandro.#365

I came for a to go pick-up and I had a quite disturbing experience. I am going to make this short:I approached the counter for my pick up and noticed no one was at the counter. I looked through the doorless kitchen, I saw the lady cashier cutting either a red fruit or a piece of meat...couldn't really tell but she was wearing these gloves, I thought "wow thats really clean". So I decided to let her finish because she didn't notice me just yet. Then I noticed a man in the kitchen spat out a lougee into the garbage can, then he walked away, brought over a cutting board and spat in the garbage can again...this time he coughed too and barely tried to cover his mouth with his elbow. The man then picked up a piece of raw meat and noticed me...I was pretty disgusted by that time. The man then turned and told the cashier lady I am here for a pick up. As I watched the cashier lady package my order, she continued to wear the same gloves (I know because i watched her leave the kitchen), took my debit card, used the debit card machine, and handed me back the card...with the gloves on still. My assumption is she does everything with those gloves an I really hope I'm wrong. If I am not Chinese, I probably would have walked out! But I kind of grew up seeing bad hygiene and other yucky stuff in china, so I said whatever, plus I paid already. After I left I didn't even want to look back and see if she switched gloves, but I didn't feel like ruining my dinner completely, so I went straight for the door. The food isn't bad, pretty tasty actually. So far, no stomach ache. I will be sure to leave another review if something happens to me haha.I will not be coming back.

Okay so my husband and I just ordered and received our food from the Rose Garden. I have to admit that I was stuck between giving this place a rating of 3 or 4 stars.Delivery:Thumbs up for the delivery time! I was told it would be 45 minutes for delivery but it was more like 20 minutes. The food was piping hot.The Food:We ordered Beef/ Broccoli, Sweet/ Sour chicken, shrimp fried rice, and the fried chicken wings, with free appetizer of pot stickers. Everything was freshly prepared and well seasoned. It was not salty as some of the reviews mentioned. The portions were huge and is more than enough for more than 2 people. What stood out:The fried chicken wings stood out the most! My husband though they were the best chicken wings from a Chinese Food restaurant that he had eaten in a while! They were plump, juicy, and crispy. The shrimp fried rice with nice plump shrimp, and the beef/broccoli were also delish! We haven't eaten the pot stickers yet. So much food on our plates already! :)Good but could have been better- ( or maybe I'm just picky)The sweet and sour chicken had a really good sauce on it, but it was maybe just a tad too much. When eating crispy foods like this that are covered in a sauce, I like to be able to taste the crunch with a light glaze of sauce. This was more like smothered in sauce which made the breading on the chicken mushy. It was good, but maybe something I would have again. Or maybe asking for sauce on the side??Overall:All in all, I would order from this place again.

I was just next door getting my tires done at Bayfair wheels & tires ans seen this little place right next door. Was only looking into getting a cold drink but as soon as I seen their pictures and menus on the walls I had to try something. Their fried chicken wings are the best!!. Freshly made, chicken wings were big and plump, crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside! Yummy!!

****FOOD ONLY/TAKE-OUT***The staff here are super friendly and accomodating. I didn't remember the name of a dish that I liked and explained to them what I remember it tasting like and they were able to tell me exactly what it was and show me a picture (score) This is my favorite spot to pick up chineese food to take home, or they deliver*** a plus and for free! The house chow main/fried rice is my absolute FAVE, must try! I recomend all the food here I have tried quite a few things here and were all amazing including kung-pao chicken, and the war won ton soup is to die for! But I must say, BEWARE when dining in it feels a little greasy, I think this was a house and they turned it into a business so the dining area is very small, also AVOID the bathroom it is filthy!

A little overpriced but you'll be sure to have enough left-overs. Due to laziness and the comfort of being at home, I ordered the chicken chow fun, pot stickers and spring rolls for delivery. It's a minimum of $15 for free delivery. The food was greasy but filling. It's a decent place to go if you're to lazy to cook.

This place is no doubt in a rough area, its a total hole in wall and I thought these are the best places that have great Chinese food! My judgement was very far off that day. Chinese food is one of my favorite so I know great Chinese food when I taste it and this place was not good. I do give them credit for very fast service and HUGE portions for the price but only because they use cheap quality everything. On the food taste nothing was great except the crab ragoons they were fantastic. We ordered the Wor wonton soup the meat was very chewy so I put that to the side. Chow mien, fried rice, mongolian beef, and cashew chicken is what we all ordered and everything just tasted super greasy and the meat was low quality meat all of it was so chewy. THIS PLACE IS NASTY DIRTY INSIDE. Wont be returning. Also I wouldn't come here again its a sketchy neighborhood.

**THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE LUNCH HOUR SPECIALS**Best Chinese food lunch special. I would drive from the V to meet up with the fam just to eat here. It's a small hole in the wall restaurant with few tables for seating. I LOVE HOLE IN THE WALL RESTAURANTS! The best tasting food usually originates from these types. They only have one bathroom the size of coat closet and the toilet is positioned awkward. You will know what I mean when you go use the bathroom/closet to wash your hands before you eat. (Oh you don't do that? What is wrong with you?!?) I honestly don't care about fancy smancy decor. I came here to eat, not hang out. Yeah it is in the hood, but as long as you have your HOOD PASS (like me) everything will be A-OK. The food here will protect you.SERVICE:The service is great here. The servers are always friendly answering any questions you have on the menu. The food comes out pretty fast and they make sure your water does not reach the end of the cup.FOOD:HUGE LUNCH SPECIAL PORTIONS!!! I had their Mongolian 3 combo, Salt & Pepper Fish, and the Szechuan Shrimp. Never disappoints, just the right flavor. You have a choice of steamed rice or fried rice with soup.BOTTOMLINE:If you are looking for some bomb chinese fast food on your lunch hour in San Leandro, look no further. This place is legit. The taste and portions you get for the price you pay is mindboggling cheap. If you come here enough, they will remember you and your dining experience gets even better. Don't be scurred, just live a little.

Coming from the east coast now living on the west, this is the best Asian fast food place I have found. The fresh vegetables, properly cooked shrimp, and excellent flavors. I love the egg foo young, which I'm not a big fan of cooked eggs but i occasionally yearn for some egg foo young.....I LOVE IT!!! The Szechuan tofu is ever so delectable...such good food, fresh and quick delivery. I couldn't ask for a better replacement to break me out of my home sick Asian food kick..lol :D

I have now tried this place twice, and both times they have not disappointed! The first time I just tried the Wonton soup, which was pretty good to me, and although the restaurant was small the service and prices were amazing! The second time i ordered for delivery, and the guy said ti would take 45 minutes ( i was disappointed) but to my surprise the food came in only 15 minutes! huge proportions, and the food was amazing :)Definitely would eat here again!
